detailed, electronic, e-signed
Painted siding, trim, shutters, doors, soffits and fascia, porches and railings, and masonry. Decks, porches and railings can be included in the same project. We look at every surface during the consultation and define the scope before anything is priced.
Wood, fiber cement, vinyl and board-and-batten.
Trim, shutters, doors, columns and railings.
Second stories, gables and anything needing extra equipment.
Our team begins by pressure washing and cleaning the surfaces that will be painted. Depending on the condition of the home, preparation may also include the steps below.
We commonly use products from Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and Behr, but our product selection is based on the application rather than loyalty to one manufacturer. Different surfaces have different requirements — the product that works well for painted siding may not be the one we choose for masonry, trim or a deck. We use Behr products for certain deck-staining applications. Our loyalty is to the suitability of the product for the application.
What we watch before an exterior coat goes on
There may be times when waiting several hours, or moving work to another day, is the better decision. Our priority is applying the product under appropriate conditions so the finished coating can perform as intended.

The work
Once work begins we stay in communication with our crew and with you. We check progress regularly, communicate about weather-related scheduling when necessary, and address questions or changes as they arise. If we discover something that could affect the scope — previously hidden rotten or damaged wood, for example — we discuss it with you before moving forward.

The ones we hear on nearly every exterior project, answered plainly.
It depends on the size and height of the home, the condition of the surfaces and the amount of preparation required. Your proposal includes the expected duration, and weather can move a day. We confirm the schedule before work begins and tell you when conditions change it.
Yes. Our team begins by pressure washing and cleaning the surfaces that will be painted. A lasting exterior finish starts with proper preparation.
We look for rotten or damaged wood during our initial evaluation. If additional deterioration becomes visible once the work begins, we inform you before proceeding with repairs that were not included in the original scope.
We commonly use Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and Behr. The choice is based on the application rather than loyalty to one manufacturer — masonry, siding, trim and decks do not all take the same product.
Yes. Painting brick creates a significant transformation to the appearance of a home while working with its existing architecture. We look at the condition of the masonry during the consultation and choose the product for that surface.
Areas that are not part of the painting scope are protected using the appropriate combination of plastic, drop cloths, tape and other protective materials.
At completion we conduct a final walkthrough and address any necessary touch-ups. Our workmanship is backed by a two-year warranty beginning on the date the project is completed.
